January has been going on for like 3 months now it feels. This week however has had me in a Is it Friday yet? mode since Tuesday. I had to question my sanity and tiredness level when I was trying to determine if Tuesday was really Tuesday or it really should have been Thursday. Yes! it was one of those weeks.
Luckily for me though, I managed to get Petrol and didn’t have to queue (cue victory dance). Mind you this victory dance is short-lived because queues are back and the week is simply not over yet.
As luck will have it, I started having food cravings and I of course didn’t have the appropriate food items to make the original recipe. Find my solution below based on things I had i my pantry and freezer (yes I free my bacon because I will like it to go further, don’t judge!)
Mjay’s Indomie Ramen
This is a random ramen recipe that was as a result of tiredness/laziness and a new box of variety indomie box.
Contains: Egg and Pork
- 1 pack Indomie Peppersoup Flavour
- 1 cup Water
- 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- pinch Chilli Powder Ata gungun
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Strips Smoked Bacon
- 1 tsp Sunflower Oil any other cooking oil works fine as well
In a sauce pan or pot, add your pack of Indomie noodles to a cup of water. add the entire seasoning packet. Cover and cook for 3-5 mins depending on how al dente you like your noodles.
Dice the strips of bacon and fry till crisp/crunchy in the sunflower oil. Once fried to satisfaction, remove at put in your serving bowl. Retain the oil in the pan.
I added 3 whole peppercorns in mine for extra flavour.
Fry 2 eggs. season with ground black pepper.
I prefer mine sunny side up but you can make an omelette with 2 eggs and mix in the bacon bits and add chopped peppers.
Plate up! Fried Bacon goes in the bowl first, Then the cooked noodles with the broth, then chilli powder, stir, top with fried eggs, ENJOY!
Lazy meals don't always have to be boring. Try this and let me know how it turns out.
